Science Centres are the most challenging environments to design interactive exhibits.
HKD’s long association with Singapore’s Science Centre has
given us valuable experience in the design and development of a wide range of exhibits.
We explain cutting edge science by
designing bespoke, robust interactives.
To do this, HKD works very closely with the in-house team at SSC, holding intensive week-long concept design workshops with SSC staff to develop exhibits and presentation themes.
The exhibits must work effectively in the larger design and narrative structure.
Richard Houghton has been working with the Singapore Science Centre for nearly twenty years. Since establishing HKD he has led the design of the Human Body Gallery, Natural World displays, Climate Change Gallery, The Electron and many others.
The experience has allowed us to build up good relationships with skilled artists and model makers combining their talents into effective multi media experiences.
