HKD are experts in museum design.

At HKD we genuinely love stories – especially
those that have previously been untold or
neglected.

Transforming these sometimes intangible
pieces of cultural heritage into a space
or exhibit that inspires and involves an
audience is what we do best.

HKD creates spaces which extend cultural
access and social interaction, which allow
museums to have an ongoing communication
with their audiences.

We work within a network of creative people:
specialist museum designers, graphic
designers, artists, writers, researchers,
content developers, audio visual producers,
sculptors, audience and community
consultants, architects and model makers –
to provide the best results for your project.

CraftCubes for the Craft Council

HKD has designed three travelling displays for the Crafts Council. The CraftCube initiative presents new and exciting ways of displaying, interpreting and accessing contemporary craft with a focus on new technology. The programme has been developed to showcase objects from the Crafts Council Collection – CraftCube: Collection – and to champion the work of Research Fellows that are at the cutting edge of contemporary practice – CraftCube: Research. Each CraftCube is an individual display environment, including objects and interpretation. The CraftCubes were launched at the DMY Central Exhibition in Berlin last month.
